Handmade makes me happy

Oh god...you can't imagine how much I miss blogging, and I miss you....
But it's just impossible for me to concentrate on that right now. My full-time job is taking all my strength away! I don't like that but at least I have a job in this insecure time. Nothing is granted to last forever but but we exist in this world just to fight that! Sometimes (or always) i don't get the point of actually not living our lives!I mean...we have to study , then we have to work, then we have to get old, than we feel sorry for not using our lifetime in a better way than we actually did....

When a blog I feel more creative and I don't have much time to think of the sense of life, or my life has sense when I crochet and blog :)

I felt very useful when I was planning the decorations for my brothers wedding. I didn't save any money by hand-making the cozies but it just felt great. I enjoyed picking the material to use, I spend a lot of time running from one store to another just to find what I need exactly.




I'm not sure if you get what's the idea of this worm-lookalike sticks? :)



Now you can guess that this are decorations for napkins or even candles. I was very proud of the idea of making them :)



I bought a lot of beads, in different shapes and colors because at the beggining I had no clear idea what to make of them, and after many tryouts this came up!

I also used the beads on this one:



It's funny that I used sea salt instead of expensive sand for this arrangement. And it turned out great. The heart-shaped beads gave special touch to it.



This tiny vases looked very romantic and elegant especially with Kala flower in.



And you already saw this one



but I have to say that this is also hand made because I didn't want us to have the traditional flower arrangement above the door.
I think that all looked great at the end.

And this has been a very loooong post after looooong time :)))

And crochet......is still on stand by!!! See you soon (i hope...)

I didn't expected to be so surprised when a mailman showed up at my door yesterday.
Well , he wasn't cute, nor handsome, nor young :))) but he gave me the present from my Swap partner Ariana from Croatia.

I was surprised because (I don't know why)but I didn't expected a present like this :)

Can you imagine how long has been since the mailman showed up at my door?????? Since the internet was discovered.....No....since I discovered internet.....noooooo...since I've opened an e-mail address :)))

And why I mentioned St. Trifun : The orthodox Christians doesn't celebrate st. Valentine on 14th of February. We celebrate St. Trifun which is the god that protects wine and the people who are producing wine. People on that day here, drink a lot of wine and are getting drunk :)))
St. Valentines day we have accepted just because it's the good reason to celebrate the love. You will hear many people talking that St.Val.. is not ours, not the holiday we should celebrate...but people in love don't mind...they just search for a way to show their loved ones how much they really care

I have hands full of work, and I'm very sorry that I have to drop out the blogging for a while.

What's this? It's an interesting way for packing the present for a 2-years old girl. It came to my mind 20 min before we left our home. It's really easy to make, pattern is mine-improvised. I have many ideas like this but no time to express them :)

...I've been playing with the beads again :) I bought a lot of new beads and I can't wait t turn them into some nice jewelery ;) This one goes to my mom

HAPPY 101







This award comes along with an asignment that I need to fullfil, and that is to tell you the 10 thing that are making me happy....There are too many, don't know how I'll manage to select 10.....


Let's go:

1. Sunny days : I hate the fact that weather conditions affect my mood! But I'm really happy when the sun comes out of the clouds.
2. My boyfriend: beacuse he is so supportive, he is always there and he loves me :))) and I love him too :))) <3
3. My arts and crafts: Creative work makes me whole, fills me up with a positive energy, increases my selfconfidence.....
4. My family: I don't think that I need to explain this one :)
5. My girlfriends: I have many many, and I really love them very much, and I care about them a lot
6. Blue color: my favorite one!
7. Chinese food: I like food generally, but chinese one...oh, so njamii
8. Nature: Mountains, butterflies, dogs...
9. Roler-blading: feels like flying!
10. Blogging :)
and many many many other things. I'm easily getting happy :)

The 10-th one is not the less important, nor the 1-st one is most important. I just wrote them as they were coming on my mind.

A story about me, and the magic that I'm creating ;)


This is an interview given for the daily magazine Dnevnik, Saturday edition Vikend, published on 16.01.2010.

i just can't explain how excited I am, especially after all that beautiful comments I received.

For someone this may be nothing, but it means a lot to me. It is great opportunity people to get to know about my art. The text is all about my beginnings, my love for crocheting and passion for creating unique peaces.

I promise you more ;)

What I've been busy about

I want to show you the projects that I've been busy about before New Year's. It took me a lot of time and creative energy but it was worthappy faces :)



These were and order from my friend K. She order 3 pairs of them in a different colors



The bracelet was a special gift for my best friend's birthday. I didn't have an idea how it will look until i got the hook in my hand and start crocheting. Then the idea developed by itself :)



I also made this for D. This is a brand new model of earrings, and I'm proud of them.



Vesna was asking for me to make this set since the summer but in a blue combination. Finally I forced myself to finish it for her birthday on 30.12.'09 but I thought that I have to surprise her somehow, even if she order it by herself. So I changed the combination of colors, with the colors I also know she likes. And I did it, and she was surprised :) mission accomplished!



Fingerless gloves were the HIT of the winter season (I mean of all my items). The story about this gloves is that people were claiming me that I don't have black colored ones, which are most requested, so here they are :)

I made a lot of other items that I didn't even manage to take picture of.

I'm into thinking about and creating new things right now, and we will see what will come out of that.
